Why Feng Shui your landscape?
As you may know, positive chi, or sheng chi, flowing through a home will activate the sectors of the ba gua thus activating those areas of our lives. How does a home attract this positive energy? Through landscaping! By creating an enviornment surrounding your home that welcomes positive chi flow, you will enhance the energy that courses through your home.
Traditional Feng Shui practitioners took into account the natural surroundings within their enviornment. Just through viewing the area, they could tell if the area was attracting good chi. If an area was lush, green and colorful, there was said to be an abundance of positive chi, on the other hand, an area such as a desert, is barren and dry and would not attract much positive chi. Early practitioners used this theory whenever planning to build a home, village or an entire empire. By selecting the proper location for construction, the inhabitants were sure to prosper.
The same can be said whenever you are viewing a neighborhood. Green grass and trees depict an area that is welcoming positive chi, where as, a tree-less neighborhood with splotchy turf would not be attracting positive chi. Through the use of landscaping, you can create an auspicious enviornment around your home. Just as a nicely balanced interior will make a person feel comfortable, your yard can do the same. Using yin/yang balance, five element theory and the ba gua; you can create a harmonious enviornment that surrounds your home and attracts the positive chi necessary to activate the sectors of the ba gua, therefore, activating those area in your life.
