How do you choose a practitioner?

There are a few things you want to look at before inviting someone into your home to "Feng Shui" your space.  I practice and teach The Black Hat Sect of Feng Shui, but all schools of Feng Shui work.  Find a style (school) that resonates with you and find a practitioner that you relate to. Make sure they have graduated from a program and undersand all of the aspects of Feng Shui.  If you invite someone into your home that doesn't understand the power of Feng Shui, they can actually do more harm than good.

Is the consultant/Practitioner certified through a school?  Which one? Sometimes you meet "Feng Shui Practitioners" that have no formal training.  If they don't have the integrity to complete a certification process, will they have the integrity and knowledge to complete your home?

Are they members of The International Feng Shui Guild, or a similar program?  *Note that just because they have a membership with the guild, doesn't mean that they are "Certified". Do your homework, ask questions and become informed.  There are many qualified and amazing practitioners out there, and there are some that just want to be; your job is to be informed enough to tell the difference.
